Service Description

Vehicle and Machinery Rescue Technician is a course designed to train rescuers in commercial or heavy vehicle and machinery rescue. As taught by NRC, this course will meet or exceed NFPA 1006 requirements. It will teach the students the basic and advanced concepts of Vehicle and Machinery Rescue. These concepts include: scene size up, identifying hazards, stabilization of commercial vehicles and machinery, entry and egress techniques, disentanglement techniques, tool usage, patient packaging and removal. This course places a strong emphasis on rescuer and victim safety, proper tool selection, and usage and utilizing a multi-step approach to extrication.
